The Krówka Szczecińska Trail
An idea for 12 bronze figures in places every Szczecin local knows. For now, it is a project we are working on.
Our story
Krówka Szczecińska is a few years old. The company that makes it is more than twenty. Here is how one led to the other.
Beginnings
In 2000, Grupa Dystrybucyjna Matrix was founded in Szczecin – a family company that went into sweets.
For twenty years we worked with other producers’ sweets. We delivered them to shops and saw what disappeared from the shelves fastest.
In 2020 we decided to make something of our own. We chose krówka – a sweet every Pole knows from childhood, and one whose taste everyone knows by heart.
That is how Krówka Szczecińska began: with butter and milk, no palm oil, wrapped by hand. In Szczecin, because this is where we are from.

How it’s made
Here, the mass is poured, cut and wrapped by people. That is why every piece is a slightly different shape – and that is how it should be.

Sugar, milk, butter and cream go into the kettle.

The hot mass needs to rest before it can be cut.

We cut the slab into even pieces.

Piece by piece, wrapper by wrapper.

Into bags, boxes and gift sets.
Szczecin
There is an anchor on the wrapper because Szczecin is a port. The Magnolia box shows four views of the city among magnolias. We also hold the ‘Zrobione w Szczecinie’ (Made in Szczecin) certificate.

At events
The easiest way to get to know krówka is to taste it. That is why we take it to festivals, fairs and events in Szczecin.
